Also, with this adapter you can connect/pair your Alexa Echo speaker or Echo Input to the Apple A1121 speaker using the Alexa App. Once connected to this Bluetooth adapter (mounted on the 30 pin dock) it, importantly, maintains "pairing"with the Amazon Echo device, ensuring the Apple A1121 speaker is ready to respond for Alexa. If, for any reason, connection is interrupted, it can be re-connected by telling Alexa to "Connect".
Note: Not all similar looking Bluetooth adapters work on all ipod docks. This adapter has been tested for compatibility on a working Apple A1121 Speaker docking station.
